SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket on October 7th with SAOCOM 1A, first satellite of the Earth observation constellation of Argentina’s space agency CONAE. SAOCOM 1A and SAOCOM 1B (whose launch is expected for 2019), together with the four satellites of Italian COSMO-SKyMed constellation, will form the Italian-Argentine System of Satellites for Emergency Management (SIASGE).
In the framework of the SIASGE project, Space Engineering contributes to SAOCOM through the development and production of on-board products such as Power Splitter Combiners (PSCs) and Power Junction Boxes (PJBs).
